This is where you'll learn about GEO Records. On Geo, Gagarin has released four albums - GAGARIN, EARTHLING , ARD NEV and ADAPTOGEN. As you'll see, these were preceeded by several vinyl releases.

The GEO story began with the final 12" by the duo known as SONEXUNO. Here Gagarin made his vinyl debut, providing a remix of one of the tracks. Then following the disbanding of Sonexuno, Geo became homebase for Gagarin's won work. The labels second release was his CD EP titled 12-04-61. The third release was his 10 track - full length - self titled CD. Releases 4 and 5 were 2 x 12" singles and 7 and 7 2 x 7" singles. All of these are now currently out of print.

From 2008 GEO was expanded to release material by other projects in which Gagarin is involved. - This page showcases the Geo catalogue.
Geo is distributed in the UK by Kudos

Information on Gagarin's current GEO releases can be found throughout this site. However, here you will find information on his older GEO works - the majority of which are now unavailable. If however you are interested in obtaining an out of print item, drop him a mail - you never know - he may be able to salvage the odd copy from 'deep space' hybernation?

Aside from Gagarin's releases there are currently two other artists sharing the label:
Raf and O
Roshi feat Pars Radio

Stunningly beautiful Welsh-Iranian torch song electronica... Welsh-Iranian singer/songwriter Roshi Nasehi performs regularly in London's more leftfield venues, but nothing could have prepared us for this stone cold classic EP with electronicist Dids (aka Gagrain) alongside multi-instrumentalist Richard Thomas and cellist Rachel Threlfal. 'Night Swimming' could be from a lost David Lynch film, 'Dohktar e Boyerhamdi' and 'Rachid khan' are Iranian folk songs turned to electronica masterpieces and she paces is just the weirdest thing we've heard all month (5/5).
Joe Muggs, Mixmag

Cultural globalisation has thrown up all sorts of fusions and here we have an Iranian singer born in Wales who combines amongst other things traditional songs from Iran (her country of origin) with European music. Her relaxed voice interweaves a soundworld of cellos and electronica created by her accompanying band. Four little mouthfuls - two Iranian and two of her own songs show a talented songwriter and interpreter for whom surely great things beckon (8/10).
Ox Magazine (Germany)

'four songs of a great, curious nature. Folk music like, but also exotic...the Iranian sung 'Dohktar e Boyerhmadi' is a true beauty, with loose strings, great vocals and faint electronics swirling somewhere in the background. 'She Paces' operates at the other end of the spectrum, with a bouncing rhythm, uptempo vocals until a soaring cello leaps in through the backdoor. Four great songs, varied in approach, which should work as a great taster for a full-length album.

'Despite the collisions of influences from thousands of miles and thousands of years apart, these songs never feel anything other than a product of the natural creative process of individual people – and as such, just as in Roshi's renowned live shows, they reach out to the listener as an individual in the most intimate way...A simple, delicate and deeply lovely collection of songs that speak directly to the heart and deserve a much wider audience.
The Art's Desk

Fitting around some very fine lines between folk, electronica, ambient and classical, Roshi takes traditional Persian songs and gives them a whole new laidback/experimental twist. She also sings her own compositions (in English) with an exceptional voice, and it’s all produced by Graham Dids-Gagarin, who’s worked with legends such as Nico, John Cale and Pere Ubu. This album is not so much world music as head music: atmospheric, spooky at times but serene with it. It’ll make winter a lot more interesting'
Arash Torabi, 24/7 Magazine

Born in Wales to Iranian parents, Roshi Nasehi appeared for the first time to a greater audience in 2008, with “And Stars”, having immediately gained the wide approbation of a series of musical reviewers, including the very demanding The Wire. This general acceptance brought the re-edition of the EP in the beginning of 2009, when Roshi decided to widen the possibilities of her dreaming voice and enigmatic piano and began collaborating more with the Pars Radio group, whose members are the electronic alchemist Graham Dids (Gagarin, Pere Ubu, Nico, ...), the classical cello player Rachel Threlfall and the experimental cello player Richard Thomas.
“The Sky And The Caspian Sea” is the first album of this group, focused in Roshi’s magnificent voice’s clarity, whose timbre, affection and profundity turn the mere singing exercise into an ultra-sensorial experience, surrounded by magic and transcendence. At the same time, the tension created by electronic manipulation, which lends a melodic and contemporary feel, yet unique in its weird beat, a leitmotive for classicism fires, serving the Iranian folk tradition, the musical root for Roshi and the rough material for this series of songs.
This root, based on the music listened at her parents’ home, lead to the inclusion of 3 radical reinterpretations of traditional Iranian themes, though a full cultural heritage crosses her eight original songs included here. When identity marks of an oriental culture meet the daily living in a cosmopolitan London, an album is born covered in nostalgia, with a singular beauty, full of introspective out of time moments, and a rare poetic sensitivity.
The Sky And The Caspian Sea gets us inside the unique musical world of Roshi, made of amazingly intense cosy and appealing environments. A superb album !

RAF and O
South London based trio Raf and O brew their own colour of electronica around the compositions of Florentine songstress Raf Mantelli; her layered keyboard textures, guitar and samples magically frame an intimate and magnetic voice, seamlessly entwining with Richard Smith’s voluptuous bass lines and Graham Dids’s (Nico, Pere Ubu, John Cale, Gagarin) innovative electronic percussion/ atmospheres.
Mysteriously poppy, spacious and cinematic, intimate and seductive.

Indietronic delicacy. Four seductive, winding pieces of jazzy vocal electronica. Like Björk on her intimate 'Vespertine' album, these songs feel like they're playing inside your head – and once there they won't leave.

Lush melodies and production underpinning the almost dreamlike downtempo vibes.”
SD (IDJ)

Raf And O are not the duo that the name suggests - they are in fact a trio.  Raf is the sort of vocalist who could sing the script to a slasher movie and make it sound delicately sumptuous. But Raf isn’t the sole attraction here - the music itself is somewhere between Boards Of Canada’s ambience, Aphex Twin’s glitchiness and the pop sensibilities of early Bjork. Stuttering drums, fluid basslines and Raf’s angelic purr mark this as dreamy but never dull, showing Raf And O as a talent to watch out for.
Scott Ramage, THE SKINNY ****

It enchants with dense sound sculpture combined with fragile rhythms and sweet smokey vocals
Rosa Danner, SKUG MAGAZINE– GERMANY

Great things arrive when you least expect them and that is certainly the case this April when I received the debut EP from Raf and O.There is a surprising connection with the music of Lamb. The singers voice is slightly more sharp and contrasts with the woolly sonorous moods but there is a connection. Raf and O don’t use Hiphop or Drum n Bass rhythms but use the language of electronica skilfully combining melody and experimentation. There is a great charm to the music combining the beautiful vocals of raf Mantelli with the icy electronic sound world. So, in Spring comes a very promising debut and one that bodes very well for future releases and raises expectations for a long period of success.
